| Numerical Notation | Level | Descriptor |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | Geek | Usually have industry-level skills related system administration or programming |
| 4 | Expert | Usually have high level of competence in IT set-up and implementation but NOT deal with machine-level problems or coding directly |
| 3 | Enthusiast | Usually can follow well-documented manual to complete sophisticated tasks independently and can seek help promptly when needed |
| 2 | User | Usually understand general non-technical IT concepts and follow well-documented tutorials and manuals with only some help |
| 1 | Novice | Usually follow step-by-step instructions or complete linear-thinking tasks. |
